Bridgette is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Health and is interested in research that explores the relationship between immigrant neighborhoods and health, looking specifically at how social and material characteristics of a community influence black immigrant birth outcomes. Her love for Tiyya stems from the impact it makes in creating safe, cross-cultural experiences to support refugee transitions in communities throughout Orange County.
