Culinary Program

Born out of the success and inspiration of the Tiyya Foundation, Flavors from Afar partners with refugees to help build their culinary careers and to connect with their neighbors. Program Instructor, Chef Kenna trains our former asylum seeker & refugee chefs on how to improve their craft and provide basic culinary skills in a commercial kitchen space.  Lessons include basics as line chefs, culinary vocabulary, and refining each chef’s workflow.
